02Membership and price

Membership is offered at three monthly price points — $100, $150 and $200 — which determine the works available to you. The price you pay is the price shown on the work at the time you reserve it, and it does not change while that work is with you.

Your first payment is taken when you place the order. Payment then recurs monthly on the same date. Optional extras, such as a float frame, are added to the monthly amount and shown at checkout before you pay.

Delivery, professional installation, all-risks insurance and collection are included in the monthly price. There is no deposit.

03Minimum term, swaps and cancellation

There is a 30-day minimum term, beginning on the day the work is installed — not on the day you order.

After the minimum term you may swap the work for any other at the same price point, as often as you like, at no extra cost. We bring the new work and collect the old one on the same visit.

You may cancel at any time after the minimum term by giving 14 days' notice. We will arrange collection at no charge. If you cancel during the minimum term you remain liable for the balance of that term.

We may end this agreement on 30 days' notice, or immediately if you breach it in a way that puts a work at risk. If we end it for any reason other than your breach, we refund any period paid for and not used.

04Delivery and installation

Within 24 to 48 hours of your order we email you a link to schedule installation. Nothing is delivered until you have chosen a slot.

Installation is carried out by our handlers and included in the price. They will assess the wall on arrival. If a wall cannot safely carry the work, we will say so, suggest an alternative, and there is no charge for the visit.

You must provide safe access to the delivery address and be present, or have an adult present, for delivery, installation and collection.

05Your obligations while the work is with you

For as long as a work is in your possession you agree to the following.

• —Keep the work at the delivery address, indoors, and do not move it between rooms, re-hang it, or lend it to anyone without telling us first.
• —Keep it out of direct sunlight and away from damp, radiators, fireplaces, kitchens and bathrooms.
• —Do not clean, treat, repair, frame, re-frame, alter or attempt to restore the work in any way.
• —Do not sell, sublet, pledge, or offer the work as security, and do not allow anyone else to do so.
• —Do not use images of the work commercially. Photographing it in your home for personal use is fine.
• —Tell us within 48 hours of any damage, loss or theft, and within 7 days of any change of address.

06Damage, loss and insurance

HUNG carries all-risks insurance on every work while it is with you, in transit and on your wall. Accidental damage is covered, subject to an excess of $250 per incident.

Deliberate damage, alteration, attempted restoration, loss, and theft resulting from negligence are not covered, and are charged at the insured value of the work. That value is set by the artist and is stated on your order confirmation.

07Copyright

Copyright in every work remains with the artist. Renting a work grants you no licence to reproduce, adapt, or make commercial use of it.

You may photograph a work in your home and share those photographs personally and non-commercially. Please credit the artist by name where you can.

08Liability

We do not exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Subject to that, our total liability to you in connection with this agreement is limited to the total amount you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

We are not liable for damage to your property arising from a wall, fixing or surface that was not sound, where our handlers raised a concern and you asked us to proceed anyway.

09Changes to these terms

We may change these terms from time to time. If a change materially affects you we will give at least 30 days' notice by email, and you may cancel without penalty before it takes effect.

The version in force is the one published here on the day you place an order.

10Governing law

This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of New York, and the courts of New York have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from it.

If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in force.
